Leveraging Technology On Job Sites

Seeing an iPad on a Colasanti Construction Services, Inc job site is not a rare occurrence.  We have been utilizing iPads in conjunction with our project management program, Procore.  The use of Procore in the field makes looking at drawings, RFIs, submittals, and all the necessary documents for successful job competition a breeze. With hundreds of iPads in the field, it can be hard to manage them all.

While Procore is a cloud based system that uses an app on the iPads, deploying the devices is not usually a simple task.  The old process was to purchase an iPad from Apple.  Manually enroll each device by hand into an iTunes account.  Download the apps needed. Set up an email address.  And we could only connect the devices to a WiFi account when on site near the wifi itself.  With JAMF Now, it things have become way more streamlined.

JAMF Now is a mobile device management software that Colasanti Construction utilizes to take iPad set up from a few hours task, to a few minute task.  iPads can even be drop-shipped right to employees in different states, and when they turn the iPad on, it already knows their email address, the apps needed for the job they are on, and can even have pre-programed wifi networks.
